Sailing to Mars.

Where: Winter Welvaart ‘07, Hoge der A, Groningen, the Netherlands.
What: Winter Welvaart is an annual winter maritime event to honour the bond the city of Groningen has with ship transport. Reflected in the waves of the water is the lugger ‘Mars’. Built in 1924 it now caters painting-vacations, and functions as a hotel.
White mist.

Where: Park Kardinge, Groningen, the Netherlands.
What: Path leading into the all-consuming white mist.
Ghost-forest.

Where: Park Kardinge, Groningen, the Netherlands.
What: The frost makes the forest a lot more scary at night.
Old Man Winter.

Where: Park Kardinge, Groningen, the Netherlands.
What: Old man winter’s first attempt to turn the world white was thwarted. He’s back for a second attempt though, this one a bit stronger and colder. Ice has run over this trail.
Flowers and plants.

Where: Korreweg, Groningen, the Netherlands.
What: Mobile snapshot. Display window of a flowers & plants shop on the Korreweg. It also sells decorated christmas-trees… without the tree. They sell christmas, then?

Where: Kwinkenplein, Groningen, the Netherlands.
What: Mobile snapshot. Several of the bars and clubs in Groningen are open 24/7. You can find the oddest things in the streets after a clubnight.
Winter City: Skateoff.

Where: Ice rink on the Grote Markt, Groningen, the Netherlands.
What: Wearing leather pants is of course the only way to go skating.
