The Middle Ages.
Where: Castle of Counts (Gravensteen), Ghent, Belgium.
What: Gravensteen was home to the counts of Flanders during the 10th through 14th century. The oldest buildings were made of wood and were built in the 10th century. The first stone building was added in the 11th century, which was rebuilt by count Filips van de Elzas into a donjon (second half of the 12th century). The outer wall and the gatehouse were also added around that time.
The soda-machine is probably a little more recent.
